This DCDB is equipped with key protection devices including string fuses to protect individual PV strings from overcurrent conditions, DC isolators to allow safe manual disconnection during maintenance or emergency situations, and DC Surge Protection Devices (SPDs) to protect the system from transient overvoltages caused by lightning strikes or electrical disturbances.
